If you have a piano, do scales a whole lot. Multiple times a day, if you can. Test yourself on lower scales every couple weeks and you will definitely see an improvement. Being involved in a choir helps, or a voice coach, because it teaches you good warm-up skills and things to loosen up your vocal chords to produce lower pitches.

Good Luck!
