No your wrong. Every man and woman are created equally. The men usually have the job of earning money for the family but the wife has the job of giving birth to a child. According to Islam the first person to be created is obviously Adam (pbuh), but Eve(pbuh) was made from the bone of the rib of Adam. Why? Why not the bone from the skull or the foot? because if it was the skull that means the women are superior to Men and if Eve was made from the bone of the feet, then that means women are inferior to men. But why did God (Allah) choose the rib? Because the women are close to the heart of men. According to Islam, Men and women are equal. Islamically the man who is good in front of eyes of his wife is the one who is good in eyes of Allah. Likewise, the woman who doesnt look after her husband properly will be thrown into hell fire. So if your going to see according to responisibilities both are equal. Hope I proved you point wrong. And by the way its men who fall easily for women as well :p

All men and women are created equal. What is not equal is their state of consciousness.
Compare the situation to your children's birth. They all have your genes and surname. But in the process of development some may become lawyers, nurses, etc, while some may just not see the need to go to college. They are all however your children still.

Yes, people are given specific skills or inabilities that others don't have. But all the little gifts or inabilities round out, so everyone has an equal number of talent and inability in some field. So in a broader sense, all people ARE created equal.

Although the Lord has provided each person with different responsibilities or gifts, we are all created equal.
Also, if you read the scriptures, you'll find that God often used the most unlikely people to carry out His will. People who were most of the time rejected by society.
The Lord is concerned with our hearts, faith, and love. He does not judge our worth the way humans do.

I disagree. I think we are all equal because we all come here to circumstances of our own choosing to learn what we want to learn. Saying all people are not created equal is like saying you don't agree with me so your point of view is invalid.

Sure. But it's important to keep in mind that the vast majority of these 'inequalities' are on an entirely individual basis. And are entirely independent of race or gender.

Well while women are supposed to be their husbands help meet, and not put themselves in a role of leadership, God also says men are to treat their wives like Queens.
As women we are to care of our home, kids and husband. we are also supposed to Keep our husbands feet on the Path of righteousness and do him Good and not evil all of our lives. For women who disagree, read Proverbs 31. for those that think the Old testament is dead there is no help for you. you can be a feminist and be submissive to your husband. men are not the enemy pride is.

This is one thing that is so glaring.Some are intelligent,beautiful,rich and powerful and many are poor,sickly,crippled and uncared for. Why did god create such inequality (if he has created them)? If it is a natural process of evolution I do not have any question.But my love for the suffering humanity repeatedly asks this question to myself.. why this glaring inequality?

in our spirits, personality's, and lives, we are all equal. our bodys may may be different, but we should all treat each other as the same as we treat our friends.
