I am joining the Air Force, and I wanted some training advice to prepare me for basic training. I have trained for months now and I am in great shape, but I want to get the warhawk award in basic. That means running 1.5 miles in 8 min. 5 sec.! I think I can handle all the other requirements, but that sprint sounds tough! Any ideas on conditioning that will help me get this fast?

The best way to get better on running is two things in one. the first thing is call 60-120's. what you do is sprint for 60 seconds. then when that is done you do a fast walk to slow jog for 120 secs this gives you endurance and it makes you muscle used to the abuse that you give them when you join the army. also you need to get on diet of more breads before you run it helps give your muscles more endurance and more enrgy trust me it works i have been doing it for two years now. any other questions just ask.
