Best Family Chile
1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey (makes delicious chile)
1 small Onion, chopped into small cubes
1 tsp crushed Garlic
2-16 oz cans of Tomato Sauce
2-8 oz cans of Chopped Tomatoes
1 small can Tomato Paste
1 large can of Kidney Beans
1/3 cup Chile Powder + a little extra to add to meat mixture.
Saute the onion, garlic in a little bit of olive oil until onion starts to soften. Add the ground meat and sprinkle the meat with a little season salt, pepper, and chile powder. As the meat is browning, in a large pot add the tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, paste, kidney beans, and chile powder. Mix well. As soon as the meat has browned, add to sauce mix and let simmer until you are ready to eat. Let simmer all day if you can. This chile is at its most flavorful the next day. But even kids love this. Have cheddar cheese available to garnish the chile before serving (not necessary, but many children will eat it with the cheese added). Have crackers with butter or oyster crackers available for serving along with the chile. Very good recipe. Good luck and enjoy.

Ok this is totally not going to help you.......but my husband is the chili cook in this family....what he does....is cooks the meat(hamburger) with onions....adds water, tomato juice, crushed or whole canned tomatoes, ketchup, chili beans, chili powder, a little bit of brown sugar, and then a can of the rotel(the non-spicy, for the kids.......)
it gives it the sweet taste, that you don't like....but yet it gives it the kick, but not to much of a kick.
For the adults...what you could do....is get the hotter rotel, and i tell ya what it will fool ya....oh this is not too hot......but omg after about 5 seconds...your reaching for your drink....lol.
the brown sugar fools ya! sorry I couldn't be a bigger help.
Or...just leave the brown sugar and rotel out.....that's what gram used to do.

I am on a diet and came across a VERY easy turkey chili....Ground turkey, canned black beans, canned kidney beans, canned tomato sauce, and canned tomatoes in garlic and onions...mix it all together, and top with lowfat cheese and fat free sour cream. I was sooooo happy to find something that was ultra healthy, tasted good and made me full
