I went to DC in 94 but I cant remember the area where we did very cheap shopping very late at night (like 12am). I think it was in the hood but alot of people were out. Any idea where I was or where I need to go?

That was probably Adams Morgan--- tons of shopping, even today, and most things stay open real late, especially on the weekends. And in 1994, Adams Morgan was definitely on the "hoody" side. Start at 18th and Columbia NW and work your way through the neighborhood.

My guess is it was around Dupont Circle or Adams Morgan? Or Friendship Heights. Probably in the NW part of the city.
