We've been friends forever, but Yesterday he asked me out.
He's really nice and my parents like him. I never spotted it before but every other past ex-boyfriend, he said I should dump him. And he never liked me to have a boyfriend. We're always talking, and I can tell he really likes me. Like yesterday he gave me his hoodie because it was cold outside. And when I was on the verge of a breakdown he would stop me from crying, and he said "its okay Im here" and hold me close. So he asked me out. But only one problem. My friend said she would never speak to me again, because she likes him. Eh, what should I do.?

If she is going to be like that, then she is not a true friend. I say go for it! he obviously really cares about you. I think that is so sweet. If that happened to me, i would take it as long as you like him. Your friend is probably just very jealous of you, and she should be happy for you. Good luck!

Did you already know that your friend liked him? You should talk to her. I mean look if your friend likes you and not your friend you cant do anything about it. He wants to be with you and even if you tell him no, then you lost 2 friends. Your friend that will never talk to you again, made it clear that whatever you do she will not be there for you. If you tell him no she will be jealous that he still likes you. If you date him she will be mad that he wants you. There is no pleasing this girl just talk to her. Then if you feel something for the guy you should date him, and i mean give him a chance, he might not be the right guy for you, but give him a chance and then see if you want to be with him.

This is a tough situation, at any age. I would try to talk to your friend to see if there is any way you could work things out if you choose to go out with him. Although, lots of girlfriends will tell you, lots of guys will come and go in your life, and the one true friend (usually a girlfriend) is always there to pick up the pieces. Maybe try hanging out the 3 of you so she can see how much he likes you and she will realize it on her own and it will resolve itself.

More than likely, your friend is over reacting. But it's definitely a good idea to talk heart to heart to her before saying yes.

Your girlfreind is not a true friend to you. How could she treat you that way, only because she likes that guy too and didn't care about your feelings, she's very SELFISH.

So... you should dump her and stay with him.

Do you like him?? If you do, then go out with him.

It sounds like your friend is trying to be controlling by saying that. Its one thing for her to tell you she likes him and it would make her uncomfortable for you to date him, but saying she would never talk to you again is threatening and controlling.
