You should have a color scheme planned before you color your room. It should include 3-4 colors that work well together. I suggest cream, black, steely greyblue, white. Paint your room the greyblue or cream.

A nice shade of yellow (not neon) will give a nice contrast to the dark furniture, make the room seem larger. You can pick a warm yellow (towards golden yellow) or a cool yellow (toward sunshine yellow), then pair the bedding and accessories to warm or cool. You won't have to make everything yellow, just stay with either warm or cool tone.

How about tan or a dull yellow they should compliment your furniture. As a side benefit earth tone paints don't fad as quickly as paints made with synthetic pigments.

seems like your in to modern/contemporary try painting an of white or a really light gray to make your furniture pop it will really give focus to your room and it will make it have the modern fell to it.

try lowe's.com. they have a virtual painter you can use to paint sample rooms. They have hundreds of colors to try out, so you can find something to match your furniture.
