" the sales person is American in spite of their clever mouth"

"Gringo" is, in some Latin American countries, a derogative word for people who are from the U.S. It doesn't mean "white"

the salesperson is a gringo in spite of its astute tongue LOL

That's what I got from a free spanish to english online translator.

I guess it means the guy's a cheater, in spite of the fact that he talks a good game.

I already answered this question.

the seller (salesman) is a gringo in spite of his cunning little tongue(despective).

gringo = is a term in the Spanish and Portuguese languages used in some countries of Latin America to refer to foreigners from different cultures especially from the United States.
