Electric collars work wonders when many other devices fail. I have used them for years with great success. Dogtra sells some of the best ones on the market today. I have their 1200 model and use it etensively on all my dogs, from working to competing. There is a whole protocol on their use. Make use you understand it first, before you use the collar. A far as the effect of one on the dog goes, I insist that people put it on and try it first. It feels like an irritating flea bite or an annoying tickle, at least the level that I work my dogs does.

maximum good-high quality collars do no longer leave stains. My dogs is a easy cream, virtually white, and he or she's had vibrant reds, blues, purples... she's had a leather-based one, and none have stained her fur. i might say look at extra ideal high quality, and you will possibly be able to take it off if your dogs would be taking part in in water for an prolonged time. you will possibly desire to constantly get a white collar, it would desire to leave a stain, besides the fact that it would be a white stain on white fur, so which you does no longer see it. additionally see that's washes out, like attempt soaking your collar over night and rubbing it a gaggle on darkish towels, then see it it nonetheless stains. in line with possibility it is going to easily stain for a speedy time?

You can get them all over, ebay has them for a decent price usually..
The shock of the collar doesn't hurt the dog, it gets their attention . I have been shocked many times, as soon as it stops, the shock itself doesn't linger, it's gone. Unless your dog is a neurotic freak, it'll only take a shock or two before the dog knows that when he wears the collar that he shouldn't be barking. It's not like he is going to get shocked all the time, once, twice at most and the collar is just a technicality. You can even use the collar after that without the battery, just wearing the collar reminds them not to bark.

Used properly they are a very good method of trainging for many dogs.

You know I am going to repeat this until someone listens. And I will gladly take the thumbs down because then I know you all read this.
You know, I just have to say this...It sadden me when someone buys a puppy and right away they want to know about crates, shock collars, bark collars. What happen when people use to take care of their animals. With this fast pace world we all live in I guess it is a lot easier to throw them in crates, put shock collars on them, and bark collar on them rather to spend time with them to teach them. I use to feel sorry for dogs that were chain outside now I feel sorry for the ones that go to homes who wants to know about crates, shock collars and bark collars. What is this world doing to dogs. I just don't understand the way people are thinking here. It just saddens me. I for one will never use anything on my dogs.. I chose my dogs to take care of not to put in a crate for 8 hours because I am to lazy to watch them or work during the day or go to school , Nor put bark collars on them when they are doing things that are natural..or shock collars on them to train them.

if you cant train your dog properly, take it to someone who can.
95% of the time collars like that are not needed - they are cruel and can give the dog anxiety problems. Most behavioural problems that dogs have are because the owner isnt looking after it properly.
