Eww.. Clean, cuz you are working with a clean base for product. If your hair is dirty, the oils will just make your hair look flat. Not to mention the the fact that you'll be sitting home on Saturday nights :)

The best time to style your hair is a day after washing. That way its not squeaky clean, but its not gross dirty either.

Well, the day that i clean my hair and i let it dry, it goes very POOFY. so i either straighten it or just leave it in a ponytail. I dont wash my hair everyday, time consuming and drying. After a couple of days (my hair doesnt grease nor smell) the poofiness goes down and can actually be manageable and i will be brave enough to just leave it down. but usually by that time it needs a good washing again.

i saw this tv programme where this girl did not wash her hair for 8 weeks and she swore it never was more manageable or felt so clean. after that time the hairs natural oils had set in making her hair feel clean and soft.she said the first 4 weeks were tough though and she felt itchy and dirty during that time.

Dirty! There are no oils or anything weighing your hair down right after you wash it. Jonathon Antin has this product out called Dirt. It makes clean hair easy to work with.

Well clean hair is better, but according to my teacher if you didn't wash your hair for seven weeks and did nothing to it, it would start off really bad but eventually your body produces natural oils and cleans your hair itself! After 7-8 weeks it will always look as if it has been washed.
Please do not hold me responsible if you try this and it goes horribly wrong and your hair ends up worse than before.

Depends what style you are going for and what look you are trying to give off? if you are going for a messy updo unwashes hair often stays in place as your hairs natural oils help however if you ahve an interview a think clean sleek hair looks better and gives a much better impression.

of course, when clean! what isn't manageable when clean? i mean, everything has to start at the basics, eh? :) and when it's dirty, it's got oil & all the yucky dirt from the air / environment around you so it makes styling so much more difficult...

If youve just washed your hair it may be too soft and fly away. Whereas if you wash it the night before you should be ok. If your hair is too dirty then it can look lank and dull. Hope this helps xx

well my hair is short so styling aint a problem
but if your getting your hair done for a wedding its better not washed because its too fly away to work with and loads of static having your hair when its not washed for a day aint a problem something to work with
