Lately I've noticed that immigrants involved in doing crimes in our area have been spared punishment by claiming cultural differences. Does God also spare immigrants and give them special rights and priveledges? I mean will he cut them a break because their culture that they learned from was somewhat backwards? No flames please

I hope this doesn't turn into a flame post, but I would like to point out a few logical errors to help you re-examine your question.

1) Most faiths believe that God is the all-mighty creator of everything we know exists. If we accept this statement as valid, then, nothing and no one could be considered an immigrant. Just because someone from India moves to America, doesn't mean that he moved from a location that wasn't created by God to an area that was created by God. So, in this sense, regardless of where on Earth someone is..they are never an immigrant in God's eyes.

2) You seem to be confusing the Laws of God, with the Law of Man. Humans don't form societies laws strictly on the Laws of God. In a simplified example, if an Indian man were to come to America and drive on the left hand side of the road...he would be breaking a traffic law of America. This doesn't equate to breaking God's laws.

3) Most importantly: Whether you are punished for a crime you commited on earth by a nation's laws or not :: You still face Judgement from God. Maybe a new immigrant does cause a grievous crime like murder and isn't convicted of his crime in America....that does not mean he will have a free pass with God when he is Judged in the afterlife.

Do you mean converts? Usually converts are some of the more pious of religious believers because they are making the choice willingly and out of their own volition usually with help of divine grace. In this case they do not need "leeway". Other converts who convert for selfish reasons or convenience are not really practicing their beilef from their heart. In either case God judges each man individually as only He can.

No matter who you are .Local or immigrant, you are same in the eyes of the LORD. When you do wrong you are sinning against HIM. You will receive your punishment .Believe in HIM as JESUS ,LORD AND GOD.

Blame your local government. God, or the lack thereof, had nothing to do with it.

That is, if your perception of this issue is even true.
