lots of WRONG info guys and gals! HCV is BLOOD BORNE ONLY.

hcv corpuscles found in vaginal fluid, semen, saliva, tears and mucus are NOT transmittable!

HCV can only infect via blood to blood exposure.

If there is no blood present and not an opportunity for bloodstream of the unaffected present, there is NO way hcv can spread.

bottom line:
you should always protect yourself by using a condom, but if your in a long term relationship or married, wearing a condom is really up to you. only .06 percent of those aquire hcv through sex but this was because of the blood to blood issue.

no blood to blood? no hcv transfer.

good luck

Hepatitis C may be transmitted during unprotected sex (sex without using a condom), although this risk is considered very low.
The best way to prevent transmission of hepatitis C through sex is to use a male condom or female condom. However, as the risk is very low, many couples in a long-term, stable relationship choose not to use a condom.

It is only spread via blood to blood contact. She should avoid having any blood to blood contact with him only. Everything else is safe.

Yes. It can be contacted through body fluid: serum, blood, semen, saliva, etc.
Being HBsAg positive alone is not the scary thing. It coul be the guy as had it long time ago. See your doctor for more advice.
