why we never see them advocating for these other Leviticus teachings:

Don't have a variety of crops on the same field. (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't cut your hair nor shave. (Leviticus 19:27)

If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die. (Leviticus 20:10)

If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18)

People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18)

I just want to thank all the respectful Christian people that took the time to point out to other passages in the bible that talk about homosexuality. Though I still think that most Christians pick and choose what parts of the bible they follow. I can appreciate the discussion

I took time to read yours, the scripture you presented us with,
am taking the time to answer.
This may be a little longer, but do me the coutously of reading it as I have done you and responded to try to help you with your Q.
The bible is in two parts, for a reason. The Old Covenant and the New Covenant.
The Old Testament is about and under the law.
The New Testament is about the New Covenant is what we are in now. Freedom in God because of What Jesus did at Calvary for us.

Man is without excuse for not believing in God. But God is so gracious, He'll accept fatherhood to anyone, if they'd repent.

Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

This should answer your gay question in the New Testament,

Romans 1:27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

So now do you see how sin hurts our All Loving and Righteous, Eternal Heavenly Father and He will not allow it?

P.s Christians aren't the only ones who hate what Homosexuals do - if you hadn't noticed.

Leviticus is the Old Testament it has not been done away with but the Grace and forgiveness of Christ is now upon the earth. However in reference to the homosexuals there are manay other verses in the New testament that state the same thing.That has not been done away with but all can be forgiven. 1 Corinthinians 6; 9-19 is a very good example of a New testa ment teaching on homosexuality. I have not found any other verses that refer tpo these other things in the New testament. If you find them please advise. It also refers to the homosexuals in Revelation, the final book of the Bible. I hope this helps.

There is a constant discussion here about this and that sin. And I hope that you can realize that we are sinners ( some are Gay, thieves, murderers, adulterers, etc.), and are all condemned by God. The Bible says all of us. Without exception, are condemned for being sinners.

What the Law instead of teaching us how not to be a sinner, teaches us why we are sinners. We cannot live by the 613 laws, it's impossible for us to do that.

So the Law of Moses, Leviticus 20:13 included, was to show us that heaven is not obtainable by human effort. That's why there was to be a Messiah. That's why God sent His Son. Because only Jesus could do it, and then die for all.

This was the old testament which is before Jesus died for our sins. Including 20:13. However it is brought up again in Romans (new testament) 1 vs 26 and 27. (Therefore, it's not some exception as someone else said from the old testament). The Bible also says we should not judge the sins of others. Therefore, I don't believe it's my place to say if it is wrong or not. For me personally, it's wrong. But I do not judge my friends who are gay.

God has said many things about sin, the things He repeats in the New Testament, still apply today. God also makes promises, sometimes to a select few, sometimes for a certain period of time, sometimes "For All Generations"
One needs to read Gods entire message before coming to conclusions.

Because those other Leviticus laws you mentioned are not in the New Testament. Whereas the reference to the homosexual (the word homosexual wasn't coined until the 1800s) life style is.

Read the Book of Romans.

The prohibition against homosexuality was probably based on the need to "go forth and multiply and fill the earth" and was probably sensible at the time. Well that's been done - it's full. And yeah, the selective application of OT is nothing more than personal or church bias.

For the most part Leviticus seems to be rules for practical living. Of course it would be absurd to say that these rules must stay fixed when the world is changing.

It's about time the churches standardise their prejudicial precepts.

Isn't it funny how every word of the Bible, including the OT is the absolute truth except that the bits that Christians selectively choose not to follow... it's either all or nothing... you can't pick and choose... unless you're a bigotted hypocrite, that is.

If creationism is correct and homosexuality is an abomination then wearing clothes of mixed fabrics, eating shellfish, cutting your hair etc etc should also still be forbidden. To do otherwise just demostrates that Christianity is just a cut-and-paste religion for people with a cut-and-paste brainwashed mentality.

1 Corinthians 6:9

Romans 1:27

Christians are not saved by the law. Christians are saved by Grace. Christians ought not judge:

John 8:15
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

Romans 2:1
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

1 Corinthians 11:31
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

James 4:11
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

If a church require a judge then:

1 Corinthians 6:4
If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

I am sure that homosexuals have as much chance of getting into heaven as people who eat shrimp for none are saved by the law but only by Faith in the Lord God.

People who live not by love, but by choosing partners through sexual stereotypes are not likely to be under Grace.

This Christian belief is contrary to the Darwinian/Evolutionary theory that defective members of a species become homosexual or monosexual to avoid propagation of the defect through breeding.

We are told in 2 Tim.2:15 about 'rightly dividing the word'; well if one can rightly divide the word can not one also 'wrongly divide the word? The 'word' has been wrongly divided; (old testament=Genesis-Malachi), are we correcting it? The question asserts something from a wrongly divided 'put away' portion does it not?
