How hard is it to finish a basement with very little construction experience?

My husband is going to finish our basement. He helped to build his parents house and he did some work on a house for Habitat for Humanity.

He should be fine. It all depends on the level of finishing he wants to do. For an average basement, he will be all right.

The biggest thing with the basement is waterproofing. You can get a masonary dry-lock paint tinted to any color at home depot or lowes.
