Oh yes...our Scottish Terrier is a little terror. As soon as someone steps in the house he has latched on to the bottom of thier pants and gets drug around the house. If you try to bat him away, he will clamp on to your ankle. If you leave your shoes on "his floor" he will chew them until they are unrecognizable. If you don't notice he's sitting by the door he will sit and whine until you come get him. If he wants a treat he sits on his butt, not his hind legs and begs. It's funny!

Oh boy! Do my dogs run this house. Even my RABBIT! When I let my rabbit out she really only likes me in the house and when shes out she charges at anyone who tries to come near me INCLUDING my dogs. It's cute.
I just got a dachshund puppy! Her name is Maggie and she is the cutest thing ever. She's only 12 weeks old but she knows how to make me give in to her. If you don't give her attention every time she wants it she starts tugging at your jeans trying to get your attention.
My Pekingnese just overrall rules the house. Hes a 6 year old male whos a little crank pot. Sometimes hes so loving but other times if you dont take him out when he wants to or play when he wants to he'll just sit there and stare at you with this dirty look. haha
Those are my little rscals! :]

Our little pup messes with us too, tell him no and it is like telling him to keep doing it over and over again. But I remember back on some program about pets, you have to show that you are now the leader of the pack- you are in control and the first thing you do is what you did with your friends when you were a kid. Stare contest. You stare him down, Make him look away and he will !- do this especially when you are angry at something he did, stare him down until he looks away. This shows and tells him YO U are in control, if you look away first, you are allowing him to be in control.
Also, I have had to try to keep our new pup out of the bushes and mulch, he is a white shihzu pup and gets dirty quick, he also tends to love plant picking- chewing leaves which are toxins. I asked my husband to put some wire fencing temporary until the pup knows not to go in there anymore, but in the meantime, while I wait for Mr Slowski to put the wire fence there, I now find that a rolled up magazine or newspaper and a light swat on the behind when he goes into the bushes and mulch actually stops him from trying to go back in! He was going in the mulch, I would pick him up say NO! and he would just head right back for it when I put him back down.
The paper thing? it is amazing. I don't hit him hard, just tap him on the behind- he just doesn't like it at all.
If I try to use my hand to put in front of him to stop him, he just wants to bite and play. Again, I get the rolled up magazine and all I have to do is hold it up as if I am threatening to us it on him. He stops.
Also, a can of coins. Pennies in a coffee can, or a bell. When they do something you do not want them to do, chew on something, etc.. shake the can of coins. They hault at the noise.

My rat terrier runs my house as well, but he knows his boundaries. Some times a little discipline can go a long way. We call him the king! He won't be in charge for long though because we are getting a little girl chihuahua, hoping that she'll knock him off his throne. =]

I have 2 small rat terriers. Lil Bit will whine to sit in my spot on the sofa till I move over and around 8 ever night she will whine or scratch at my husband till she gets him to go lie down with her. Dottie loves to be petted & touched she will grovel till you pet her their is no stopping her. Between the 2 of them and the cat we have no chance, they are the king and queens of our house. To bad you don't want to hear funny stories about the cat.

I have a Yorkie and he thinks that he runs the house. He even goes so far to boos my bull dogs around out side. My Yorkie just doesn't let me know when he wants to go outside he barks to let me know when he is ready to come back in the house. If you sit and eat in front him sometimes he growl like he is griping about you eating.

I have 3 small dogs (a schnauzer, snoodle and a beagle). They all three have their own personalities and are very demanding (bossy) in their own ways. My schnauzer barks to let me know when its time for him to eat. My snoodle thinks she rules the house completey and won't let the others near me when i'm home. My beagle is very vocal and if you don't go to bed or sit and watch tv when she wants to you know it. And they all three won't go out in the mornings unless I walk them down the stairs (even though they have a doggie door and can go out to their area anytime they want to). My snoodle won't eat unless she is in the office sitting next to my desk or if we're in the kitchen she has to eat under or behind my chair. And sometimes she just hords her food to tease the others. She carries her dog biscuit around with her till she gets ready to eat it and if the others try to come near her she grawls at them. Like I said they are all unique in their own way.
