Socialize and flirt with him first. That way, you'll get to know him before. I mean, imagine if a guy you really didn't know asked you out of the blue... Sure, you'd be flattered at first, but you don't know anything about the guy at first glance.

Find out through mutual friends. Get his screename and just casually ask what he's doin this weekend. Hang out in groups first if you don't want to come on strong.

see i know its not easy to propose sm1 easily bt just give him clue{ lik stare at him ,if u go in front of him with frnds stop talking, smile,shy slowly ,blush } if he show such signals lik he looks u then increase frndship by saying hii or talk to his any frnd abt him ask abt his life etc etc i hope u will get +ve result

Just ask him if he has any hobby. Tell him that you have the same hobby too and both of you should go out and share the hobby.

Well if you talk to him sometimes just start talking to him then be like, "yeah...I was wondering if maybe you might like to go see a movie with me or something." or if that's too awkward, then say "I'm going to the movies on Friday night with sime friends and I was wondering if maybe you might like to come too?"
