I'm not trying to steal a car or anything, but i think it would be a useful thing to be familiar with in the event of an emergency where keys are not available. Also, please let me know the safest method, and write any danger in hotwirng it. Thank You

Well, it IS possible, but I see no reason why you would ever, seeing as if you do, you cause permanant damage to a vehicle. However, although I doubt you are talking about your own vehicle, there IS a safe way to do it, and I will tell you. Take your VIN, regestration, ID and insurance card to a dealer to prove you own the vehicle, they can cut you a new key.

However, since you are trying to steal a car that isnt yours, you'll probably get picked up by the police when you try to hot wire it. Seeing as you have to actually break part of the steering column to be able to steer it when you hotwire it, and I doubt you could ever actually figure it out. Get off the computer, get a job kiddo, earn your money and buy a car.

the 2000 ford windstar has a built in security system and uses a "chip" key. With out the key or a pre installed by pass system, like a remote start kit, you can't start this vehicle.
