to be honest, they kinda blend in. even if you see one it usually takes a few minutes to register & by that time they've gone. they pop up all over & in the oddest places, like the subway. i saw a lot in Tribeca & Soho. That's a popular area for them b/c it quiet & not too crowded. Upper East Side is good as well, but like I said they usually look so ordinary that they blend into the crowd. I've lived here my whole life and rarely see any. Even if you eat at the best restaurants, and go to the hottest clubs, there's really no guarantee of seeing anyone famous. It's the places u never expect, likelast month I saw Anderson Cooper leaving the movie theatre as I entered it, by Columbus Circle. It's usually like that. Very random.

Hmmn I have live here for 15 years and only have seen a couple -- Lisa Bonet at a Movie Theater in Greenwich Village and Steve Martin walking down Madison Ave. near 59th Street. I really can't afford to hang out in the places they do -- Elaine's Restaurant on the Upper East Side used to be a big hangout and a lot of them live in Tribeca downtown.
Oh yeah I saw Christina Applegate in the bar we all used to hang out in after work in the East 50's -- you never know.

A lot of famous people dine at restaurants in mid-town on the east side. The rich and famous enjoy to eat at Manhattan's best restaurants and they often do. That's why Le Bernadin, Club 21, Michael's, etc., are some of the restaurants they pick to feast in.

Kicking around time square and the theater
district - though most go from limo to theater
through the back door to avoid the attention.
Lots of people you've seen on television
doing live theater - and people from the
movies.
