I was talking to a guy that was left by his ex-wife a year ago ina cruel way, she said she never loved him and cheated on him and then left him one day by emptying the house almost completely and not saying a word, he had to find out from her mom. So that was a year ago. One day we were talking online and he said smtha bout his ex (because I asked, usually he doesn't talk abt her) and then he sighed and then smiled, I asked why he sighed, he said he was content and comfortable with me. I thought he sighed because the though of his ex-wife made him feel frustrated because I bet he doesn't want to think abt her anymore but it juss doesn't work. What do you think? Are you comfortable with a girl you are in love with or can you be comfortable with a girl you just like, but ahve no deeper feelings?

I don't think so. Depends on the situation. If he loves me back, I'll definitely be comfortable. But well, my two bestfriends used to be a couple and they broke up eventually. I know the girl still likes the guy, but it's just too weird when someone doesn't love you back and the fact that her bestfriend (me) is his bestfriend, too, doesn't help much, I think. Even I'm amazed at how I can keep being friends to both of them. Anyway, the point is, the guy's wife obviously doesn't love him back, right? That will never be comfortable no matter how hard he tries to get used to it.

You can be comfortable with anyone and to talk about something so hurtful and terrible with you means that he trusts you. It doesnt necessarily mean that he's interested in you though. If you like him, you might need to give him some time because after what he's been through he can't possibly be emotionally ready to start on another relationship.

so your question is simply: can a guy be comfortable with a girl without really being in love? because yes that is completely possible. if you want to know if he cares for you then i recommend you give it time. what he went through sounds pretty deep. in this case to avoid confusion and the possibility of feelings being hurt i thin you should develop your friendship a little more and let things take their course naturally. if possible even let him approach you about it, that way you know for certain.

You can be comfortable with a good friend. but that sigh usually means really comfortable, like he lost trust because of what she did and now he can finally have trust in someone he has feelings for.

Well, I'm a girl, and I haven't dated yet, but, if you like somebody, and you just marry her because you like her, it has to be more than that, they have to know more stuff about each other before they can get married, it probably wasn't true love. You have to love somebody just for y'all to go a little bit further. That's why she left him, because she knew it wasn't meant to be. When you get married, you should find somebody that is your type.

Both are possible, But when a guy says I am comfortable with you, its because he wants you to be more than just his friend.
Men dont say to a girl they just like: I like you, because then we feel weak and we fear that she thinks we really like her.

Well.. can be both.. but i think being comfortable with girl you are in love will be more value and meaningful than the other one... it depends.. should know what inside your heart.. heart speaks none but feel more...

being betrayed is something that you can never forget, neither forgive. you'll have to live and learn to cope with it for your own good. if you are the 2nd girl of the story, then i guess you'll just have to find out. SPEAK. that's the best advise i can offer you.

I can easily be comforatable with a girl I'm not that into. We'd have to be somewhat good friends at LEAST, but that's all I need.
