Assuming you realise that 'Chicken tikka massala' is an anglocised 'curry' dish and not an authentic 'inidan' dish I do have a recipe frommy wonderful 'Madhur Jaffrey's Curry Bible'.
She says to first make the sauce:-
Pour 4 tablespoons of corn or peanut oil into a large, non-stick, lidded pan and set over a medium heat. Add 140g/5oz of onions sliced into fine half rings and cook for 6-7 minutes until reddish brown. Add 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger and 5-6 cloves of garlic finely chopped. Stir fry these with the onions for one minute. Add one tablespoon ground coriander, half a teaspoon ground tumeric, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper and 2 teaspoons of bright red paprike. Stir for 10 seconds. Add a tablespoon of natural yoghurt and stir until it is absorbed. Add a further 3 tablespoons of yoghurt in the same manner as the first. Add two tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped. Fry these for 3-4 minutes until they turn pulpy. Add 350ml of chicken stock and a good pinch of salt.. Turn the heat low and simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes until thick. Add quarter teaspoon of garam massala and 4 tablespoons of chopped fresh coriander. When ready fold in chicken cooked in the following maner:-
675g/1.5lb boneless and skinless chicken breasts cut into 2.5cm pieces put into a bowl with 1 teaspoon of salt and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Leave for twenty minutes. Then add 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger, 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of red paprika, 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 6 tablesppons of double cream and half a teaspoon of garam massala. Mix well, cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. Heat the grill and thread the chicken pieces onto skewers. Brush the meat lightly with vegetable oil and place the skewers about 13cm from the grill and allow 6 minutes each side to cook the chicken.
Add to the sauce and serve.

It's not actually an Indian dish it doesn't exist in India it's a dish that the English have created to have in restaurants over here. Do you leave the chicken to marinade in spices over night in the fridge coconut milk also is good for the sauce

I asked a similar question a while back -a dude told me about a book called the curry secret-you can get it from Amazon for one pence(seriously!)
It has the tikka marinade they use in a curry house.
Pretty similar to the guys post above-yoghurt ,garlic, ginger and green chillis-blitz them in a blender or such.
Then add teaspoon of cumin powder, garam masala ,chili powder -a little vinegar and salt-and add food colouring if u want the authentic colour.
Then marinade the chicken or whatever meat you want for a few hours-it.........sory just realised you wanted chicken tikka -my face is red ;)

You CAN'T make a proper INDIAN one because it's never been anywhere near India - it was invented by accident by a chef in an Indian restaurant in BIRMINGHAM . This has been well documented elsewhere and I won't bore you with it here although I have no doubt somebody will cut and paste something out of wiki before long ! ! !

a very simple home made method: take boneless chicken, paprika powder, turmeric pow, salt, yogurt, lime juice, whole spice powder...that's it. mix all them and let marinate for about 2-3 hrs . preheat the oven , put the chicken in screwier brush with little oil. and let it brown.{for better taste u can sprinkle some CHAAT spices powder. easily available in Indian grocery...gud luck and let me know how it is.

The dish was invented in the UK, so you won't find a traditional Indian recipe for it.
