People have been saying the end of the world is just around the corner for a very long time.

Soon is a relative term. The planet Earth will be around until our sun fuses enough hydrogen and helium to become a red giant. That's about 4.5 billion years from know. Since our Universe may very well last trillions of years, I guess in relative terms you could call a "mere" 4,500,000,000 years "soon."

the fig tree always is symbolic for israel. when you see the fig tree put forth its buds, that generation shall not pass away b4 all things be fulfilled.
God cannot bless the jew until he is in his homeland/promised land. that is why he hardened pharoahs heart to drive them to their homeland. That same thing happened in our day, God hardened Hitler's heart, mussolini's heart, stalin's heart to hate those jews to drive them to their homeland after being scattered for almost 2000 years. israel is a nation again because God is going to leave the gentiles and go back to the jews because he has 144,000 remnant or the little benjamins as they are shadowed in the story of joseph. The 2 jewish witnesses in the bible that are killed by that false prophet pope in the tribulation period because God hardens their hearts and they will hate the jews and rejoice when they are dead because they will scream out against them as most christians have and were killed. the antichrist brethren always kills the true spiritual brother.

I dont think it will "end" but I think life as we knwo it is going to change very soon. We are at a crossroads in medical technology that will soon let us control things that we previously had no power over. These things are going to change society dramatically and probably alter how many people feel about religion.

The world will end when all of the signs come according to like Revelations i think, so whenever that happens and God decides that we have sunken so low (like the pharasees) i think is what it said, is when the world will end. But honestly I think there is a lot of corruptness in the world so I wouldn't doubt that it will end sooner rather than later, but thats just my opinion.

This wicked world will end soon.
If not in my lifetime, it will during the life of my kids or grand kids.
The prophecies of the Bible are so prevalent now.
Soon Christ will usher in his Kingdom to reign over the earth.

no, because I haven't heard of a huge asteroid anywhere near us yet, and the sun is going to be burning for a few more billion years
