I went to my local hairdresser and asked for a trim. My hair was halfway down my back, it's now shoulder length after the hairdresser cut too much off it.It's curly and I don't know how to wear it anymore other than have it down all the time. If i put it into a ponytail it keeps coming loose and falls out of the bobble. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with it.

i have shoulder length hair to and i found a great way to put it up and stay up. put it in pony tails ear length, make a knot and put another hair ribbon to keep it together, and then flip it under between your head and the knot. and you have a cool, new, and easy, look.

Hi Sweetie:

Consider me your old Uncle Buck. Yes, the movie one.

I can commiserate with you regarding your hair. As a very vain Leo, I use to pride myself about my mane (hair) until one day a barber ruined my hair, burned it, turned it green, all at one time.

I blew up so he offered to change the color. Well, I must tell you, a 40+ man does NOT look good in green, but most assuredly not in ORANGE hair.

Had it all shaved off and started again. I learned from that lesson to be selective with my 'hair people' as I call them.

Know what else I learned, It didn't change ME, the real me. And before I knew it, my hair was back and now, nearing 60, I am glad to report I have a full head of hair that is all white and alright with me.

Cheer up, Sweetie and try some gel just to hold it together.

PS Have a coke to hold you together, too.

Not much you can do until it grows abit but i would certainly would complain to the salon if you think he cut too much off. Going from hair down your back to shoulder length is more than a trim isn't it.

sorry you have had a bad experience
best bet is just to let it grow a bit but you can also do the half up half down you could get clip in hair extentions if its too bad even back combing the shorter section and hairspray it apply kirbies to it with the help of a comb pushing it upwards

try velcro rollers....the larger the roller the less curl....
try bumble & bumble styling wax. ( it rinses out with water)
MOP Glisten shampoo & conditioner.
very thin head bands might help in holding your hair back and keeping it off your face.
try pinning it up into a messy upsweep....
hold it in place with small pins made especially for upswept hair.
do not go back to that salon.
they should refund your money to you.
have patience..your hair will grown back....

that was well out of order. I would comlain!

There isnt much you could do really apart from leaving it down, and doing stylist whist its down-or waiting until is grown back.

There's a hair straightener that has a comb, or you can use those hair ties that have grips on them.
