The Getty Museum! Parking is $7 or $8 but the museum itself is free and oh so lovely! I also recommend Third St. Promenade in Santa Monica. Again, free, but you have to pay for parking. It's got tons of lovely shops as well as popular chains but it's a fantastic place to just sit and people-watch LA residents as well. Eat at Canter's Deli on Fairfax Ave, it's open 24 hours and it's a really old Jewish deli with tons of LA character. The prices are similar to a Denny's or Marie Callendars.

If you want to have the whole "celebrity experience", go to The Ivy in Hollywood, only on a weekday at lunch, you have a chance to see a star. Or The Viper Room is another celebrity hangout. (NOTE- Ivy is about $20-35 a person, Viper Room even more expensive) Try Pink's Hot dogs on La Brea ( about $4 a person ). Walk around on Melrose Ave. in Hollywood, which is really interesting with all the vintage and thrift shops. Or walk around in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive on a Saturday NOT SUNDAY!!! Closed on Sunday..... Go to Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park about $15 for kids and $30 for adults, a really fun theme park. Go shopping at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.

Have fun!!!!!

Definitely try and get a tour of the city and of the celebrity homes. Check out Pink's Hot Dogs for some good grill food. Also, try and get to Encounters. It's this really cool restaurant right at LAX Airport. It's about 75 feet in the air and there are windows all around so you can eat good food for moderate prices and watch planes fly in all around you. It's a really cool and futuristic place. Hope you get to check it out!
