protothrombin,thrombin,platelets,calcium,vitaminK,B12 all are having specific role in blood clotting.like in cricket every player has to perform well to win a matchjust like that all of the above are required for blood clotting.

If you need to choose just one the main one would be platelets. They sort of hook and hang together to form a clot.
