Even tho kids are a totally different species of people fron thier parents, we are still very much responsible for what they do until they are old enough to be held accountable themselves. Our job as a parent is to give them the ability to make more good descisions than bad, then we lead by example!!!

absolutely. Parenting is the key there. parents need to teach there children good moral values (and im not jsut talking about going to churchand such ). and they need to teach right from wrong and show that there are consiquences to there actions. not If your a good parent your children shouldnt be getting in trouble much becuase u instilled those values into them. aslo as a parent you need to be aware of what your child is doing and where they are at at all times and that will prevent your child from screwing up. If there were more serious punishments for parents other then paying a fine, i think the screw up parents would take more initive to be better parents.

I have to say yes. Honestly, my kid is really good. But if she did something awful like poke some kids eye out, or steal a car, or get busted with drugs when she's older, well dang... she's my kid, I'm responsible for her. That may not be the popular answer, but it's my responsibility to guide her, nurture her, monitor her... if she's under 18, I'm responsible for what she does as much as she is. I think that's only right.

Somewhat...
Parents can be responsible for there kids actions because the kids learn from the parents actions... The other part is kids can learn from other kids actions in school and learn from other people if they see them do something then they might think it's cool to do that if there older... like somking for example... So kids can learn actions from there parents but not everything they learn is from them...
hope this helps and good luck with your speech!

Look at toddler toys. So many minature kitchens, lawnmowers, tool sets, etc. Children want to emulate their parents. Little girls see mom washing dishes, they want to wash dishes. Dad works on the car and his son is right there. Children want to get their parents approval. Parenting doesn't start when the kids become teenagers and are pulling away to become their own people. Parenting starts at infanthood.
Exceptions to every rule but the norm is there are no bad children, just bad parents.

I would say yes to a certain degree. As parents it's our responsibility to teach our children right from wrong, but when they reach a certain age it's up to them to follow it. Also if you have the power to somewhat control what your child does and you don't then you're at fault. For example (my favorite example), if you have a 16 year old and you buy him/her a sports car and he speeds and kills someone, it's your fault to a certain degree for handing someone who was to young to understand the true consequences something that he wasn't ready for. In that case you don't buy them the sport car they're dying for, you buy them something that will get them around safely...like a Geo Metro.

very much so! most of a childs actions are aquired from their parents and what their parents allow them to see and hear whether its on t.v or the radio. the parents have control over their childs actions while they are young. its when they are in their teens that the control goes to the teen themselves. until them its based on the parent.

Parnets are responsible for teaching their children right from wrong. Up to a certain age, yes, we are responsible for their actions.

Not exactly. Children can do crazy things that are unlike their parents. It is the parents job though to tell them wrong from right.
