Its located a couple of hours out from Bangkok near a town called Kanchanbanui
Where the bridge over the river Kwai is.
As said the temple came first and was looking after various orphan animals then the tigers started to be brought as orphans. Now several have bread and they need the money to help fund a big jungle island for them to live in.
(getting a little cramped as a buddist temple was not designed for this)
They are treated like the abbots children or pets.
Though dont take kids too small... there was a sign saying kids under a certain size may attract attention of tigers 9tiger probably freindly kid may panic... no no brithgt colours, noisy run around kids or strong smells.
ie sensible quiet kids
