There a instructional video on the market.
I got one with my new Thompson Center it explained shooting and cleaning and even show several hunts.
You might contact them and see if they would send you one.
They may do it for free, in hopes of getting a new customer.
I was surprised to see the DVD in the TC Encore box, I did not need it I have been shooting muzzle loaders for over 3 decades, but the was informative and the hunts entertaining.
There are also books on the subject that you might find in a public library.
Link attached.

Hope this was of some help

If the instructions included with the weapon aren't enough, there are many books on the subject that will help.
If you live in a better part of the U.S., usually anywhere below the Mason-Dixon line, there are hundreds of clubs and organizations that shoot all types of weapons, including black powder replicas, most prominently, the Single-Action Shooting Society (SASS), a national org. that deals with all facets of Western Frontier firearms and life in general.

Most towns have a gun shop and or a club that does black powder target shooting. I'd check the gun shop first then the yellow pages. I've found the 50cal Hawken to be fun. I'd stay away from the flint style though. You get a face full of powder with every shot.

go to a shooting range. not an indoor range because the caliber is too powerful. Best maybe to go to a reloading store because they can get you set up on supplies
