i told this guy the nightmare that i had last night.
i said
"wow that sounds quite a dream ;)"

what does it mean????
and also
what does "you are quite a person" mean?

it means that it is too detailed for it to be considered a dream that it only sounds like QUITE a dream instead of being really a dream. 'know what i mean?

it doesn't sound that complicated. it basically means, "wow that was some dream you had"...as in he thinks it was weird, amazing, surprising, odd...you get the drift.

as for "you are quite a person", there's actually a blank missing in that one. i think it should be: "you are quite a/an ______ person" - fill in the adjective here :]
it actually depends on the circumstances.
