Just a couple minutes ago I was watching Animal Planet. We have a wii at my house and my little bro wanted to play it, but I was watching TV. My bro told my mom that I wouldnt let him play the wii, and my mom has this STUPID rule that if someone wants to play the wii when someone is watching tv then the person that is watching tv has to back off and the person that wants to play the wii gets to play. So, even though I was there first, my mom wont let me watch my show. Whenever Im watching tv my little bro decides he wants to play the wii so he does, and I dont get to watch tv. However, when my bro is watching tv, my mom wont let me play the wii. My mom thinks that it is pefectly fair, but its NOT!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds like me and my little brother a long time ago. He got mad at me and broke my hair dryer in a million pieces and I got mad and threw his nintendo down on the floor and broke it. I had to pay to get his nintendo fixed and buy myself a new hair dryer b/c I was older and should've known better. Cherish these moments because I wish I could have my brother back so much. He got killed in a car wreck when he was 17 and I was 25 (we got along great then). Things will get better when you two get older! Good luck!

Why not check the TV listing/times for ur fav shows ...find a couple hours a day that wont cut into your TV watching...Let ur bro play his heart out at those times? If you can tape tv shows also do that...The solution isnt impossible...try and find a happy common ground that u will both be happy with...Good luck!

No, you're right, that is not fair.
I think, perhaps, she is giving into your little brother because he will whine and cry until she looses her cool and takes it out on you--the older one--who is "supposed to understand."
She's teaching your brother that the squeeky wheel gets the oil. This is not good for him or you.
I think you should discuss with your mother--when there is no one arguing over the tv--the rules.
If she makes the rule, she should stick to it--no exceptions. Even if your little brother is screaming his head off. Eventually, when she stops giving into his childish ways, he'll learn that that type of behavior gets you no where.

be straight up, just cause shes da mom dont make her right, u know. Still, she is your mom and needs to be showed respect. But u still live there, and things should be agreed between everyone. Tell yo mom that you dont like the rule. I hope she listens

just calmly explain it to her in an orderly manner and if that doesn't work just tell your lil bro a scary story about what happens to people who play the wii....
