When my mum was younger and i was about 8.She came back from my grans after having an home bleaching.I remember her sat in front of the fire ,crying her eyes out whilst pulling tufts of melted hair from her head.She lost just about all of it and had to wear a wig for work that night.No way would i have gone to work after that.I felt so sorry for her.Even though at the time i couldnt help laughing.I will feel forever guilty for that.SOZ MUM.

MY mums hair did grow back within a few months,and she has always had a healthy head of hair .So no damage done their.

I'm living hair hell right now. I had a bad bleach job and 6 months later a bad chi permanent straightener followed by extensions to hide it while it grew out. I couldn't stand the extensions so after 2 months of wear, got them taken out yesterday and now am back to short chopped up THIN chemically damaged hair and I'm scared to death it will never grow back. I'm 33. Did your mom's grow back in after that? How long did it take? Thanks. Email me about whether or not your mom's grew back in. I'd like to know if theres hope after chemical damage or not. there was this one time i was in my final yr at secondary school, i hadnt turned 16 yet as it was my birthday coming up and the end of year party within that week....i wanted a change as i was tired of wearing my hair in the same boring ponytailed style.....my ''friend'' offered to cut it into a new style.....so of course i let her thinking that she was going to do something nice......she took my hair put it in 4 sections plaitted it and cut it at the top of the plait..... my hair looked horrendous......i had to wear a wig for those 2 nights which wer supposed to be the best of my life.......that was just mean......i havent spoken to her since.

when I got a home perm by a friend and she said it was ok to do it even tho knowing I just got it colored the day before.Most of it fell out, thank god I looked ok with short hair, dont know for sure if I ever forgave her!! lol
