She recently got a threatening phone call from a guy she used to chat with before me, who became obsessed with her. We recently started dating This has really messed her up. She's become very scared and distrustful of all men including me. She's not sure she can even be friends with guys again. She said that she needs to take a couple of months alone to herself, to sort things out and pray. What can I do to support her, and show her that I'll be there for her?

I've been through this same problem before just give her some space and respect her wishes if you keep pushing for her to talk to you that will just make her pull away further if you like her then respect her wishes and give her some time!

Hmmm, maybe she is using that for an excuse, she may not want anything more to do with you, how do you know if she is telling the truth about this phone call? And if she is telling the truth just let her have space, i wouldn't push the issue anymore except to tell her she needs to talk to someone. And l would play hard to get- but before hand i would tell her if and when she needs to talk to you, she knows where your at. But i still have doubts about her getting so upset over a phone call, and she may just trying to get rid of you. And if it is true maybe she will know not to be so trusting on the chat sites from now one. Good luck

The best thing to do is send the authorities after the guy and make sure he never bothers her again.

does he know where she lives? if not suggest that she change her number and to get a new e-mail address. just back off and give her her space and call or e-mail her twice a week or something to see how she's doing and things like that.. show her that you care and that your nothing like that psycho. just give her space that will really help and just be there when she needs you.

you should probably contact the police if the phone calls continue. by doing this you'll not only get rid of the crazy guy but she'll also see you as very protective and she'll want to be with you.
