Well they lose their potency. Plus they probably break down and go rancid too...I really don't know. If you are concerned about tossing them for the environment's sake (and good for you if you are...this crap finds its way back to your drinking water and food supply...but vitamins I don't imagine do harm) you can return any unused medicines to your pharmacist for proper disposal.

If they expire this month, that probably means that you have had them for a year or two already. If they have been stored in a cool dry place you can continue to take them, if not toss em. Multivitamins are like 15 bucks anyway, so go get yourself a fresh batch!!!

Vitamins are best absorbed through foods. They are probably as potent as they were for six months after expiration but that's not saying much. I heard that one should not dispose of medication in the toilet ,since it goes to the fish but I dont think that is a concern with vitamins.

Like all pill medications, they might expire this month, but it just means the strength and potency will weaken. Keeping and using them another month won't kill you.

They're only good until the expiration date. You could toss them on some weeds and see what happens.

Like any other expired medicine, they should be thrown out. They are not very useful anyway.

Throw them out. Multivitamins are a waste of money.

Probably another 6 months - I personally would take them until they are all gone - to expensive to throw away - you could also check with the manufacturers web site!@~

I wouldn't sweat it, a few days won't hurt. Now if they were five years out of date, I'd have different advice.
