burning DVDs?

Question

FIRST: I know that copying, for distribution, is illegal. Copying for archive, or backup, is not.
I am using Nero 7 Essentials.
What add-ons, additional software is necessary to copy my DVDs?????

In order to archive or backup your DVDs you will first have to bypass the copy protection.

In my opinion AnyDVD by Slysoft is absolutely the best for that. You run AnyDVD in the background and then use any copy program you want.

What AnyDVD does is make the copy protected DVD look unprotected so a copy program will copy them. The program works flawlessly. You can go here to read about & try it - http://www.slysoft.com/en/

DVDfab does a great job at this, but I am not sure if there is a free version or not. The most common (and free) are probably DVD Shrinks and DVD Decrypter. Those can be used as a combo or can be used separate.

Something else to look into would be a program like AnyDVD. It helps decode the protection levels so the disks are copied well. DVDfab does not need a program like that but DVD Shrink does, I did not use DVD Decrypter much so I am unaware if AnyDVD is needed.

I really know nothing about Nero Essentials, but I have found Ashampoo's burning software to be very good and user friendly.

Nero is the best and easiest way to burn CDs/DVDs, you will need Nero burning ROM..

use wmp 11 its alot easier
