Morphine, methadone or oxycontin are the best 3 I know of. I have taken them all, I'm in pain management & will be forever because of a spinal disease. Hope this helps U.

What kind of pain or target area? A pharmacist or physician is your best chance at a proper answer, and I am not that. I can tell you that for severe pain such as I experienced with a shattered tibia and fibia, the doctors prescribed Tylenol three. I was on morphine for two weeks during my pre and post leg surgery but you wont have access to that. Everyday pain reliever I use is Motrin, but for headaches nothing works better for me than Advil Migraine.
