Because those who ignore God when the good times roll, realise their need of Him to help in time of need. But God is not just to be called on in times of crisis. He has a plan and purpose for our lives, and He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him. This can be so by accepting that your a sinner - for all have fallen short of God's standard. Secondly, by asking Jesus to forgive you your sin, and to feel that weight, that burden of sin and guilt, and then hand it over to God. Thirdly, He wants you to give your life to Him completely, by saying "Lord Jesus - I have messed up while I have been in the driving seat of my life - from now on I want You to be the leader of my life".

Then find a church where there is love, sound teaching, who love to spread the good news of Jesus to others.

Because in good times they don't think of hard times.

Besm Allah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem

He is who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye even board ships; they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think they are being overwhelmed: they cry unto Allaah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto him, saying, if thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly show our gratitude. But when he delivereth them, behold they transgress insolently through the earth in defiance of right O mankind your insolence is against your own souls, an enjoyment of the life of the present: in the end, to us is your return, and we shall show you the truth of all that ye did. (The Noble Qur'an, 10:22-23)
