he's a friend i'd met over the summer and we've kept in touch through email and phone calls. we flirted shamelessly but nothing was ever official. the only thing that nags me about it is that he's a big flirt with EVERYONE - he has many good female friends and i just can't tell if i'm anything different to him.
it's been almost a year since we have last seen each other and the phone calls have gradually become less and less often (about once or twice a month when it used to be at least three) and i'm afraid we're losing touch. i've given this guy enough hints to make him know i like him and i don't know what else to do.

long distance can work BUT at some point one or the other must come closer --- i dont think this is going anywhere as he is losing interest --- im sorry it may just be a case of getting off a sinking ship so to speak

Long distance relationships are hard... even for friendship relationships. I had many females friends while in the army and then after moving we lost touch. We maybe email once in a while, or call. but its just different when you are not physical there... or maybe just look for someone close by to you.

I think you have a slow recognizer on your hands that means that you will have to just tell him the way you feel.Then give him some time to think about it. and if you say that he's a playboy he might give up what he's doing but i seriously dout it. But before you spill it all make sure that he still likes you so your feelings wont get hurt!!!!!!!!!
