Right now i have a one toned boring medium brown color. I get very tan in summer and pretty tan now. I have green eyes. I think I want to lighten it up to make my eyes pop. The dark hair just does nothing for me. I think maybe blonde...give me your ideas please?

I am in the same situation that you are, but I found a way around it. I just added copper hues to my boring medium brown hair (but it still looked slightly brown, but having the red hue made all the difference) and specificly used make-up.

Without using eyeshadow, it will be difficult getting the eye color out no matter what you do. I did research and discovered PURPLE was the opposite color from GREEN on the color palate. Now everytime I put on purple eyeshadow, it makes my green eyes stand out. (but I have hazel eyes: brown/green eyes) so I really want to make the green part of my eyes stand out.

Everytime I use purple eyeshadow, it brings out my eyes, but for hair color I would go for a lighter copper color or a richer red color depending on your skin tone. Talk to the hairdresser and say that you want to go towards a more red/auburn look and ask which color shade is best to bring out your best features.

Including the green eyes.

A Brown Black would look best with those features. It makes tan skin look darker and makes your eyes pop. I have a light tan and blue eyes and keep my hair dyed brown black and it looks really good, everybody likes it. You could use a regular black but that is tricky to pull off and its all just one tone and super dark... Brown Black still looks black but it has some brownish tints to it and looks like a natural black. Revlon brown black never fades like other colors and doesnt damage your hair. Give it a try, it would look really good on you:)

I would keep the brown as a base color and add honey blonde highlights for depth and dimension. If you lighten your whole head of hair it will be a lot of mainenance and very damaging to your hair.

Having green eyes myself, I can tell you that going with a brown shade with RED undertones will make your green eyes POP - like mahogany. Or, just go red...it doesn't have to be fire engine red...something like a nice deep auburn...

if you have blonde hair it will naturally get bleached by the particular sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who else had golden blonde hair that has been a medium brown near the bottom. When he came back to school after summer vacation, it was nearly platinum blonde!

Jet black hair. I have actually dark brown hair and I believe dark hair looks better. I avoid really like blonde hair.
