I used to feed my cats Nutro, but with all of this recall stuff I am going holistic. The lady at Pet Valu recommended this, but I am wondering if it is their stores brand name.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have been using Performatrin since we got our 3 cats from the Humane society in December 2006. They are all in perfect health, as of March 22nd, with beautiful coats, and they barely exibitied any signs of the upper respitory problems they contracted at the HS. On March 22 we were given a different food to use by our vet, it is made by Science Diet. I will bring it back and continue to use Performatrin.

I looked into it and found I could not afford to ship it to my house. So I researched online for raw feeding and am making my own mixing chicken thighs & stew beef (grinding together) with cooked eggs and Kitty Bloom for the proper vitamins/minerals and taurine. If you want my basic raw info, email me and I'll provide the link. The Kitty Bloom is put on the food just before I serve it to the cats as I didn't know how to measure it for the total amount of food and its easier to just add from the smaller cups I freeze the food in. I got 8 oz cups (feeding 3 cats) and split that up between them. I do have to thaw it out for 2 days in the fridge as it gets pretty solid in the cups. Use the containers from Ziplock or similar and a ounce scale to measure out 2-3 oz per cat of the raw. Seems to work out to about two large teaspoons of food when you are dividing it up.
