I need specific information on residence requirements for Cal Poly. What does school actually look for.?

I'm first year student from Nv. and want to know how to get through the system for the next year and not pay the out of state rate. Looking for someone who has been through the system recently and can help me.

Unfortunately you will have to apply for residency in California while you're in school if you don't want to pay the out of state tuition rate.
