I know what you mean. It isn't fair that they get to call us rude and disrespectful things but when we retaliate, WE'RE wrong. I don't get that.
Listen. I totally respect those who have beautiful and artistic and tasteful body modifications. I wear mine as badges of honor. My lower back tattoo is not a "tramp stamp". It is a lower back tattoo. All of my tattoos have emotional significance. My tongue piercing is not indicative of me being a woman of ill repute. I like having my tongue pierced, and it is for my man and my man alone-as I have been with him a long time before I even got it done.
Keep doing you, and ignore the jack@$$es here-cuz who are they to judge!
Love

HA! Awesome. I have 14 tattoos and thirteen piercings and I do not pass judgement on others in any respect with out first getting to understand them. I believe the identical manner as you do. I do not consider in God, so I do not quite care if folks say dull matters to me like God is judging me or some thing like I will cross to Hell if I do matters like tattoo and pierce myself. I do not quite care what occurs to me after I die! At least I am having a laugh and doing what i wish whilst I am right here. I believe dangerous for folks who reside their lives from a booklet.

Am I the only person who noticed ther were no comments saying: "tats are bad".."tats are ugly".."your ugly for having/getting them" yet let this be someone saying they are getting a tattoo on their left arm from the shoulder blade to the finger tips & there would be hundreds of ppl calling them carzy, ugly, stupid, unoriginal or whatever...
Depending on the tattoo & the person I love them personally its just another form of art that took soo long to catch on in western civilization that some people are still in the dark about a lot of the true meanings behind all of the body art forum, from tattooing to piercing its all about expression & living life to its fullest...
Research history b4 tryin to make people feel bad for doing something thats been around for hundreds of thousands of years & will continue to grow and reshape the world as a whole....

i treat my body like an art gallery, a blank canvas. i have works of art on me that have personal significance, and all the tattoos i have and will have will be for nobody but myself.
i think discrimination against people with body mods is pretty much the same as being discriminated against because of color, race, religion, etc. some people see tattoos as something only a *certain kind of person* would have, and that's bullshit. i think judging people by a tattoo is like judging a book by its cover. the sweetest, most caring person in the world could be covered head to toe with ink and it's a shame that they will be rejected to a degree because of what they wear on their body. it sucks that you have to take into consideration how you will be judged when getting a tattoo. personally though, i could care less what people think of my tattoos. if someone wants to hate on somebody else because of a tattoo (or piercing, whatever), then they're the ones making the bad statement

I'll say this much ... I'm on my way to having only three Tattoos covering almost all of my upper torso, and one on each leg Conecting them would hurt WAY too much (i'm a puss) Although I plan to be almost completely covered they won't show when I'm in a work type of atire. But even when I show my Tattoos I still get nailed by people who think I'm either a gang member (I'm a white guy who walks/talks/looks/and is Military) or just got out of prison. I've just come to except that not everyone in this world can see an art form for what it is.

You know its funny, because the majority of people i meet are actually for tat/piercings than against them. It surprises me really. My tattoo artist/friend, loves when i get work done, because he tells me. one. my skin is his dream canvas. and two. I'm too sweet for tats. I guess when you are looking for the negative, you'll find it, and if your looking for the positive you'll lfind that too. Personaly, Tattoo's and piercings are the sexiest thing for a person to do to their bodies. So good for you for having so much done!

A lot of older people associate having a lot of tattoos with having a criminal background. I work in a prison and the majority of the inmates have tattoos.
I don't mind seeing a couple of tattoos on a guy but I'm personally turned off by a man covered with them, no mater how good looking he might be otherwise.
Also, do you ever think that if you wanted to get a good paying "respectable" job in the future, potential employers might be turned off by all your tattoos?

i dont think so. i can accept guys with tatoos and piercings ( my buddys do have both of them) however, i myself prefer girls not to have tatoos and simple piercings would do. LOL my gf have both tatoo and lots of piercing on her ear. i guess its not the appearence that is important

its not the appearance of people that matters
its the personality no matter how many piercings and tattoos they have.
