Gardens are pretty and throw mixed bird seed in place of rice. You could do a "Joan of Arc" and come riding in on a white horse. But, may want to keep some clothes on. Sorry I not know of any web-sites. I leave that up to the Gals on here. Figure women have a better idea for this stuff.
But, Ha! I figure in a Garden you not need a lot of decorations. One thing I think would be cool, may see if there a place that release a bunch of doves, I always thought that be nice at a wedding/reception. And, the Doves probably think it a good idea too. ;-)

If I had the choose then I would choose the garden.. I don't know about your wedding colors but if they are pastel then they should already be in the garden.. You would also be able to take some nice wedding photos there.. And you could do a afternoon tea theme.. With either a light set down meal or sandwiches, veggie, fruit trays and cake or just cake and punch.. And you can also bring some of the flowers from the gardens onto the tables in your decor as well.. I think that it would be easier and pretty then your other option..

i don't know about these other crazy answers came from, apparantly just anyone can give you advice which is scary. i would the garden, you can't really go wrong with that. i would say the decorations depend on where you are located, for instance i'm in florida so we could get away with a tropical setting. also, you need to factor in what colors you have chosen that really helps narrow it down. if you do go with garden, just google garden wedding and a bunch of different things should come up to help. you might want to do this asap since the wedding is in may, that is going to come up really fast.

If you are having the reception in a garden, how about a Renaissance theme? They are very popular now and the clothes are magnificent. There are lots of sites to help you plan a wedding like this. Congratulations and Good luck!

I do lots of weddings and I want you to keep this in mind... outside receptions are a bad idea! You can't have anything sweet to eat -such as fruit or pretty much any food that has a sauce. The flies go crazy! The cake usually is fine is you go with a fonadant instead of whipped icing. It's a bit thicker and not as sticky. But really keep this in mind when planning it!
