Not many stores will carry this type of underwear. My best bet is eBay: they have many many merchandise from all around the world!

I am not sure that I have ever looked close at this but I have an idea. Have you tried boxer shorts (cotton) I am sure we have some that have the fabric over the elastic. Just a thought.... You can get these at Wal-mart, Target, and Kohl's to name a few stores!

I'm pretty sure the Hanna Andersson catalog underwear doesn't have exposed elastic on it. Try checking it out on hannaandersson.com.

Buy him boxer short instead. There a lots of different types of bands with material that covers the elastic.
He may be allergic to latex.
