I am going to my friend's baby shower today. She is almost 8 months pregnant. I have never been to a baby shower, or had any kind of experience with babies. I got her a present, but am I supposed to give her a card? I just don't know what is expected I guess.

It would be nice if you gave a card. She would put it into the baby album and it is a nice way to keep a record of who was there and what was brought. I am in my 40's and I still have the cards from when my mother was preg. with me.

Its up to you, but I would def. give a card. At baby showers the mommy is suppose to read the card aloud before she opens the gift that way everyone knows who its from. I know that at my baby shower every gift I received had a card with it. I saved them all and made a scrapbook of them. I would def pick up a card if you have the time. Theres a pretty big variety of mommy-to-be cards. Good luck and have fun!

It is completely up to you. If you don't want to, just make sure you put some kind of tag on the gift. If you do and are not sure what kind to get, go to Wal-Mart or Target and in the card section (by the other baby ones) their should be a nice selection of cards just for baby shower. You could also make one on your computer! Have fun!!!!!

dont stress about it. its just suppose to be a celebration of a new baby coming. Some mothers had a baby registry where you get a gift of their request. You can give a card that says for example best wishes for the new baby. Its just to have fun guessing baby items just for a bunch of women to get together and laugh.

the present is enough you dont have to get her a card unless you want to. but if its anything like the baby showers like i have been to get ready for a lot of food games and laughing at each other...lol have fun

Just a very simple card is fine. even one like those that you get with a bouquet of flowers, they have them in the store by the gift bags
