you pay whatever the court says you pay.
but let me ask you something.
you makealmost 2 1/2 times what the mother makes.
dont you want whats best for YOUR child?
big deal you have the child half the time. consider yourself blessed. most dad get their kids on alternating weekends if they're lucky.
help the kid live in the best conditions he can live in and dont worry how the money is spent unless its on drugs and alcohol and such.
if she is a good mother you should be happy to provide all you can so your child so the child has the best living conditions that you can provide.
being a father is alot more than prodiucing a life. its being along for the whole ride and being the provider of time, advice, love, and finances. Like it or not. you are duty bound.
dont ever let your kid grow up and be able to say my father wasnt there for me for this or that. be there for ALL of it. including the cash. in 20 years you'll be glad you did and it will pay off with dividends.

Child support is based on how much time the child spends at each parents house and how much of a difference in the income. We have 50/50 every other week custody of my step kids but still have to pay a bunch each month because their mother doesn't make as much. This is in TN so I'm not sure if it's different on FL.

possibly if a judge awards it. It depends on who is the primary care giver. If the child is with the mother all week and the father has it on weekends, he may still have to pay even though he has joint custody. Alot of it is up to the judge. If you have him 50% of the time then you prolly wont have to pay. Just be prepared to prove you care for the child half the time and provide for him as you should. If You do still have to pay , it would most likely be much less than it would have been.

Ok, so I kno im only sixteen, but i do believe that the answer is no! My brother is in the same situation! He has joint custody of his little girl, and he doesn't have to pay child support! It doesn't matter what you make, or her, you don't have to pay child support because you have him half the time and she has him half the time!

yes, joint custody does not have anything to do with where the child is living all or most of the time.joint custody means that you both have a say in all things pertaining to the childs well being.

depends upon what the judge tells you but probably not but you should because you make a lot more money then her or you should at least buy more then half like buy all the diapers and formula and bottles, clothes some extra toys and so on because she can't afford as much as you can.

its very possible that you'd still have to pay...the thing qith child support in most states is that it tries to equal out the $$ so the child has enough to be taken care of on eithr side when they are there...you'd have to check out your state law to be sure though.

I don't think so but if she is having a hard time supporting him on the half week she has him you may want to help her for your son.
