Not that I'm advocating it for this reason, but I have heard it theorized that eating boogers actually raises your immunity due to the minute amounts of bacteria that are in it...Kind of like how allergy shots raises your resistance to allergens. The bacteria in the respiratory system do not thrive in the digestive tract BTW.

lol...I was telling my gf about this the other day.
some doctors say eating boogers strengthens the immune system, since the nose is a filter for bacteria. that is actually logical in theory

It's not the boogers tat are unhelathy, but yu could bear in mind that as you inhale, they do filter impurities from the air to some degree.
I'm sure it has little impact on your health and longevity though!

Eat solid waste from your nose is not very healthy. As your body has ways of expelling harmful was from your body and thru your nose is one of them. The waste from your nose is bacteria full of unhealthy viruses. And is full of germs from what your body is expelling. This is why you should blow your nose with a tissue and wash your hands if you should pick your nose on occasions. The waste from your nose can pass on colds and other harmful deceases. It may not be as bad as eating the other solid waste you expel on the other end but it is just as bad. The solid waste is the harmful part of your body that need to be gotten rid of. The liquid waste is not as it is sterile as it passes thru your liver which removes all harmful toxins and redirects these toxins to your solid waste ducts for release and voiding.

EEW. Gross. I don't think it would be unhealthy but it can't be good either because it can become a habit.
