According to your chrisrian doctrine do you need to confess
christ died for your sins didnt he?
secondly only God almighty can forgive sins,No human can
forgive sins.Do you honestly believe that you can commit as
many sins as possible and then go to a priest sitting behind
a confession box ,say a few hailmarys and our fathers and all
your sins are forgiven.?
when a person committs a sin no matter how great the sin is
if it involves the rights of others then you have to give back the
persons rights and then turn to God the all merciful with
sincere repentence and he will forgive you if he wills.If it
involves sinning against your own self then you seek the
forgiveness of almighty God and make an intention not to
commit the sin again and this is between you and your creator, if he wills he will forgive you if he wills he will punish
you.What kind of cheap forgiveness is this,you cheat a person, you rob his wealth. you eat up his property, you kill him , and then go to confession and the priest forgives you
with a few words of penance ? I ask where is the rights of the
person whom you have sinned against ?
Lastly what sense does it make to go up to a human who
himself is sinning all the time and seek his forgiveness when
he himself does not know wether God almighty is going to
forgive him or not for thr sins that he has committed ?As a
chtistian who reverted to Islam i know personally of priest
who used to Drink Alcohol, have sex with us and the sit in the
confession box and ask us to confess our sins to them what
a mockery!

I was confessing about 5 minutes ago. Give me another 5, and I'll be doing it again. I can't go 5 minutes without sinning.

Confess to a priest? What does that do for you? Nothing. The priest isnt the only one who hears from the Lord. You can too! Confessing your sins to The Lord, not some man in a chair behind a screen. The Bible says to confess with your mouth the sins.

I will be attending the Penance service tomorrow at my parish, it will be my first. Iam new to the Catholic Church.
