Well, it points out that he noticed you were missing from his life.

Doesn't necessarily mean that he missed you. Could just mean that you havn't talked in a while. You would need to look at some of the other things that he has said in order to figure out if there is some type of connection between the 2 of you. If you like him and you have told him then why don't you take the initiative of getting his phone number and setting up a date later down the road. I don't know if you met this guy online but if you did you shouldn't jump to conclusions about whether he likes you or not.

Well I know I am a girl, but I say it all the time to my friends, even men. I wouldnt take it as a gurantee that he likes you in that way.

But you obviously mean something to him, whether it be a really close friend or someone he misses.

Next time he says it you could always reply, "did you miss me?"

That way you dont have any hidden meanings.

Well it could mean that you have not talked in a long time, he has noticed that you have not been on. It is a good line opener. It could mean that yes he likes you. But mostly that he does remember you, likes to have another chance to chat.
That is about all it means. The hidden message is ... that he noticed you have not been on line or he hasn't..

honey, i know its a bit of a hard pill to swallow, but a guy's brains are made up of fairly straightforward stuff- i.e. "Have you eaten?" means simply- "Gee, i feel hungry, oh, have you eaten?"

It DOES NOT mean "Oh, my love, i have been constantly worrying about your health, please don't starve yourself; HAVE YOU EATEN?"

Well, you get my point.

To follow the general rule of thumb, guys don't inject hidden meanings into ordinary sentences. Which is unfortunate, really. =(

We all know we girls want our guys to shower us with attention, and you crave that attention which you think he is showing you.

then again, it could mean an itty bitty thing, BUT then again, chances are not. maybe he just noticed your absence on msn, that's all. from what i can gauge, you've been talking with him regularly or something.

right now its the early stage; if you really feel that this could go somewhere, get to know him better.

=D

if you want to read that into i guess it could mean that. but i have heard several people say the same pharse. its a phrase thats been around for a long time. but then again if you think he knows you like him, then it could be just that. that hidden message your looking for.

you created the meaning.

nothing hidden.

you like him? did you yourself interpreted it that he likes you?

he means he misses talking with you... the company. its clear, he misses you. thats all!

if you wanna be sure about hidden meaning... or what you call it... ask him. :) he knows himself better than what we think he is telling you

There is this guy that I talk with on messenger and we say the same thing to each other. It doesn't mean anything in our case, but it might in yours. Who knows.

That probably means he hasn't talked to you in awhile and you guys probably caught up, but I would think that he missed talking to you.
