I think I understand where you question is coming from, because I used to be a young fella and wondered that myself. I am a pilot, an aircraft owner, and have been an aircraft maintenance supervisor in the military for thirty years, prior to retireing three years ago. If you are as I suspect, a young fella trying to figure out how to realize your dream, perhaps I can shed some light on the subject. If you really love flying, and you want to fly more than anything else in the world, then don't look at the cost of getting your license as an obstacle or place to save any money. It is expensive, I won't sugar coat it. But the process of learning to fly is such terrific fun that you will enjoy every single minute of it and relive it hundreds of times in your dreams. I have seen a very many people who are hel* bent to get their license, work their butts off to get it in two weeks, then they NEVER fly again, EVER! I suggest that you look at flying training as a real adventure and do not go for cheap, because I'm afraid it's true, you get what you pay for, and you want nothing but the best training on the best equipment available. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get your license if your having a ball doing it. And you don't look at the overall cost or you'll be scared away from it. I took my license a long time ago, in Pitt Meadows, B.C. I paid as I went, well they would give me a bill at the end of the month and I would pay it in full. During that time I was layed off a couple of times, so I stopped flying, but I didn't owe any money. I finished my license in 8 months and I was in no rush at all because it was a hoot!!!! God Luck!!

The snag with the economic course is the cost - and time it takes till you're able to start getting funds. If it is not a situation - then purely decide for whom ever has the terrific references from airlines. remember you gotta get those hours in. because of the fact the distant places funds in the upload is, i assume, Canadian funds - then jointly as its high priced and remember you have your residing expenditures additionally - however the expert pilot crash (pardon the pun) direction seems to be a first rate selection.

Why would you want the "cheapest"? Why not the best? I'd hate to think the pilot of the plane I was a passenger in went to the "cheapest" pilot training course.........

Try enlisting in the RCAF... if you have what it takes to be a pilot, they will train you, house you and even feed you free of charge !
