My little boy is putting so much pressure on my bottom half i just dont know what to do anymore.. I try to lie in bed but the pain just will not give up. My hips started bothering me a few weeks ago and know the pain is so bad i can't sleep but a few hours a night. I get up every hour and a half to pee and to change sides. It feels like my hips are opening up in a werid way i guess. All i really know is i have had a wonderful pregnancy until about 2 weeks ago, when my hips started acting up. The heating pad just does not seem to be working nor does pillows between my legs. Has anyone else felt this pain before and if so what was it and what did the doctor tell you? Please someone give my some GOOD advice i really need some right about know. Thanks so much happy pregnancy to all.

Thanks so much for your advice. Yes i love taking baths thats pretty much the only thing that helps me. I take pain meds. every few hrs and that doesn't seem to work either. I live in texas but our pool is not warm enough yet otherwise i would be SWIMMING and all my pains would problely go away.. Thanks again.

I see what you are saying.. My husband is a police officer and he works midnights. I just feel bad asking him to take me to the ER when i don't think im going into labor.. I have been just waiting to get a contraction then have him take me. I just hate to go and then them send me home if you know what i mean.. Last week when i went to the doctors i told her how i was feeling and she just said im sorry.. That really didn't do much for me. Thanks for your advice..

Question: Does your mucus plug have to come out first before you start dialating?

I had this with my 4th son.....I was 2 weeks early...my hips hurt so bad...i couldn't walk couldn't sit.....so finally I told my husband better safe than sorry...and went into the ER. The checked me I was a 4......and made me walk for an hour....came back I was a 7....they said we're glad you came in otherwise you would have been having a baby on the side of the road. They broke my water...20 mins later my son was here! So my best advice is to do exactly that.......better safe than sorry......Pay attention to your body...your getting ready to have this sweet little baby..and please please call your doc..and keep in touch with him/her.
Good luck! and Congrats!

See when this happend to me.......I lived 30 miles from the hospital.....so I was gonna go....i'd rather go, and be sent home....then have a baby on the side of the road. And in my family the history of labor....is not slow. My mother with her 3rd child went from a 0 to delivering in 38 mins. Good luck hun!

There really is not much left to do, but wait it out now. You don't have much longer to go. You could try some tylenol, that might help you feel a little better. Just know the time is just right aound the corner now. Good Luck.

Could you have a pubic symphysis separation?

I do, and I've had horrible hip pain for all 3 of my pregnancies. Seeing a chiropractor who specialized in pregnancy really, really helped me.
