I always get emotional when people talk about the past and look towards the future in those types of speeches. Tell her and everyone what she meant to you in the past and means to you know. I would then move on to talk about the type of person she has grown to become and how much happiness her husband brings to her life. Finish it up with a touching welcome to the family line or two and wish them the best of luck for all of eternity.

Do you idiots know that forthcoming means UPCOMING? Like her wedding that is approaching? Not her FOURTH marriage. Stop making your stupid little comments if you don't even know what the word means.

As for the speech...Why not talk about cherished memories the two of you share growing up? Talk about how you knew your new brother-in-law was "the one"....

Hope this helps!

Sorry for the Yahoo idiots!

Say a few words about how honoured you are to give her away and perhaps make a joke of it and say "well i had to give her away to make sure she would go !
Then wish her and her new husband all the luck , health wealth and happiness for the future and beyond.
Good luck have a great day and congrats to the wedding couple

Short and heartfelt mate.

deffo include a line about her being a cute little tyke, always getting into mischeif, being a little tomboy (if she was)

That you are now so very proud of her, and she has grown into a beautiful woman, her husband is a lucky man..if he hurts her you'll smash his head in etc etc... Ok, forget the last bit.. ;-)

All the best to her and her husband to be btw.

Just talk about your sister and the things that you used to get up to and tell everyone that you are proud to be her sister because you love her and that you are happy that she asked you to give her away on her special day

Reminisce about when you were children and got into fights. How you pulled her hair or hid her doll. How she hung around with you when you were playing baseball with your friends. Then say how you've watched her grow from a typical, annoying kid sister into a beautiful, loving woman. Welcome your new 'brother' into the family and wish them love, peace and happiness.

Give a quick speech about what she was like when she was little, that usually does the trick.

what an honour, just say what comes from the heart, how proud you are of her and happy for her, and how you are happy to hand over the reigns to such a super brother-in law, she will be as proud of you as you are of her, have a great day

Yes, tell them about the first 'fight' you had with your sister... about her stealing your Barbie, or going into your room when you had told her NEVER to go into your room when you weren't there... The older people at the wedding will find it cute, and the younger once will laugh... It always works, believe me!!!
